Tyler Youngkin Honored as LeadingAgePA Volunteer of the Year

We are proud to share that Tyler Youngkin has been recognized by LeadingAgePA with a 2025 Distinguished Service Award – Volunteer of the Year. This well-deserved award highlights his remarkable service and deep compassion for the residents of Moravian Hall Square.

Tyler was selected from many nominees across the state for this award, reflecting not only his years of service but also the profound impact he has made on the lives of those around him. His service at Moravian Hall Square spans more than nine years and adds up to over 5,400 hours of volunteering.

Tyler plays a key role in the daily routines of health care neighborhood residents by helping them get to the dining room for their meals. His kindness, patience, and willingness to help enable many people to enjoy mealtimes together in a comfortable, communal setting. Additionally, Tyler assists the Community Fun & Engagement Team during numerous events on the campus, adding a friendly face and helpful hands wherever they are needed.

From a young age, Tyler was always eager to help his neighbors and grandparents with tasks around the home and garden. That generosity of spirit has stayed with him and grown over the years. His relationships with both the residents and the team at Moravian Hall Square are a testament to his kindness and service.

In past years Tyler has received the Volunteer of the Year Award at Morningstar Living. He has also been a Global Messenger for Special Olympics and has given several speeches at Special Olympics events. Additionally, Tyler was a Sunday School helper for several years at Dryland UCC.

At Moravian Hall Square Tyler finds great happiness in making sure each resident feels cared for and valued — and we are proud to celebrate him as LeadingAgePA’s Volunteer of the Year. Representatives from Morningstar Living and Tyler’s family attended as he was presented with his award at the LeadingAgePA conference at the Hershey Lodge on June 12th. Congratulations Tyler!
