Barbe Abel is an Outstanding Senior!

Barbe was recently recognized for her extraordinary contributions in sharing her musical talents with the residents of Morningstar Living and inspiring youth through music. The Outstanding Senior Award is presented to individuals aged sixty and older who have made significant impacts in their communities.

Since the 1990s, Barbe has been a cherished volunteer at Morningstar Living, bringing joy and comfort to the residents with her remarkable musical talent and compassionate spirit. An accomplished pianist, Barbe shares her love for music selflessly, providing a soothing presence that transcends words. Throughout the years, Barbe has distinguished herself with her commitment to serving the community, amassing over 200 volunteer hours each year. Her connection with the residents goes beyond mere performance; she has become a beloved figure, known and adored like family.

Beyond her work at Morningstar Living, Barbe is deeply involved in the Nazareth School District, where her passion for music extends to the younger generation. She plays an instrumental role in managing student performances at Moravian Hall Square, nurturing young talents and inspiring them to pursue their musical dreams.

Barbe’s story is a testament to the power of music and the profound difference an individual can make in a community.
